“FATTY” HAS BEEN DECLARED “NON GUILTY” FROM ACCUSATIONS OF RAPE IN AN ORGY-PARTY

San Francisco. Today, the long trial against the famous actor Roscoe “Fatty” Arbuckle has finished with a non-guilty verdict.
“Fatty”, an important silent star, as an actor, scriptwriter and director, has stood out up to that moment due to his comical roles.
But on 5th September 1921 he attended a big party organized at San Francisco Hotel. That party would turn into an orgy mixing sex and alcohol. “Fatty” accompanied by an starlet called Virginia Rappe entered into a suite during the night. Soon after, “Fatty” left the room in angry mood.
Virginia Rappe was found with rape signs (it is said that using a champagne bottle) and she died of peritonitis 4 days after.
“Fatty” has been declared “non guilty” because of lack of damning evidences. Hollywood keeps on considering him guilty.
