LEWIS CARROLL GIVES US PHOGRAPHY DUE TO PAEDOPHILIA’S RUMOURS
London, 18th August 1880
London. Famous priest and “Alice in Wonderland” writer, Charles Lutwigde Dogson (better known as Lewis Carroll), decides to give up photography, his passion, due to the constant rumours about his possible paedophilia.
Lewis Carroll photographed many little girls, some of them appear naked. These photographs would be burned at his death, at his request.
Although no direct accusations of abuse have been made from his “little muses”, his honour will be damaged once and for all.
In 1866 his friendship with Mr. Liddell, the real Alice’s father broke. According to certain rumours, Lewis Carroll not only addressed love letters to the 11-year-old Alice, but he dared to ask for her hand.
